How It Works Online
If you need an estimate for your project, please keep in mind that we can not do on-site estimates for free unless you are within the city areas of Santa Cruz county. If you live in a far off, rural area in Santa Cruz County, the chances are it will take someone from our team a lot more work than we are willing to do for free. For rural areas, we charge a flat fee of $100, no exceptions for anyone, regardless of how big or small your project is. We can however, give you a “rough estimate” by email or by phone. Keep in mind, we are not obligated to fulfill any contracts negotiated by a “rough estimate” on the phone or by email. To proceed, we would still need to visit the worksite before giving you an exact estimate.

The next best thing to us coming to your jobsite and giving you a precise estimate/bid for your project. If you are located off the beaten path, then this option will suit you and us much better. It is best for both of us to know a ballpark figure for your project and if both parties feel the estimate is within your budget, it is much easier to move forward.

We will happily visit your jobsite and give you an accurate estimate for your landscape construction project. Just schedule a meeting with our Estimator and you can get a better idea of what your project will cost you.
SUBMIT YOUR INITIAL SCOPE OF WORK TO US
Once a set date for your estimate/bid is in place, to rush things along and for us to have a better grasp on your project before a visit, we ask that you submit your project details, any photos you can take, your budget, and the date you need it completed by.
What if my property has many phases of work to be estimated? Will I be charged per phase for an estimate?
We can give you an Estimate/Bid that outlines the entire scope of work that is needed. We can do phase-by-phase contracts, but please keep in mind the overall cost as a homeowner will always be higher if you require a completed work scope to be performed by phases. We can not build you a retaining wall and not install the proper drainage pipe system at the same time. Santa Cruz Landscapes will not be liable for any damage incurred for landscape construction projects that clearly negate associated and necessary elements from the primary, and totality of the original contract.
Do I have time to think about my estimate received?
Yes, you do have time but not a lot of time if you want us to validate the estimate amount. We allow 48 hours for you to accept or reject our Estimate/Bid from the time of the estimate submission. After the 48 hours, we can not honor the estimate as it is considered expired and most likely, your next estimate will be a higher amount. Prices may vary on availability and priority clients.
Do you guys help people plant their gardens?
Yes, we help you design and build your custom gardens for your seasonal vegetable and fruit gardens. We can help you arrange beautiful annual flower gardens as well and they never go out of style!
Do you offer ongoing Plant Maintenance?
Yes we do. We have a specific plant maintenance specialist that initially comes to assess your current plant growth so we can give you the best options for affordability and overall appearance after pruning and growth.
What is the Fix & Flip Service you offer?
So glad you asked because this service is genuinely unique, as it allows you to get our crews onsite and in hustle mode to make your place appear ready to sell and pronto! This fee is well worth it and we put a curb appeal on your property that would typically cost you much more!
I have to pay for an On-Site Estimtate/Bid?
If you live in Santa Cruz County and your property is in city limits, not up a mountain or out on a rural road that you know will surely take our Estimator much more time than is acceptable for a free service. Our time is money, so please respect that, as we are trying to SAVE you money!
Can I pay with a Credit Card?
Yes you can. We accept Visa/Mastercard and you can also pay with Paypal or Venmo! However…due to the increase in interest rates, and inflation; we are now only accepting checks or certified checks. We will update you when this changes.
